Pohorelská Maša is a small settlement that belongs to Pohorelá village. It is situated in pitoresque environment of the upper river Hron in the Brezno district. The elevation is 694 m above sea level. To the south of the settlement is located Muranska Planina national park and to the north Low Tatras mountains. The settlement is just at the foot of the hill Gindura (1099 m), from which one can enjoy beautiful views on Low Tatras. A ski resort used to be on the hill but nowadays the ski lifts are not operational anymore.
